Spicy mustard fig compote

Ca’ de Memi uses the figs off its trees to make this tasty “mostarda”, leaving the fruit in large pieces. Delicious with cheese or boiled capon or chicken, it also goes well with crunchy Cinquantini breadsticks.

The Ca’ de Memi vegetable garden produces good fragrant seasonal fruit and vegetables in summer and winter. The fruit is used to make tasty preserves, spicy mustard fruit compotes and syrups to use in dishes and drinks. Ancient varieties are protected and processed in line with the seasons and the years and this is why the products might at times change, based on what is harvested during the season. The aim is to enhance a circular economy, using by-products and reducing waste.
